Early Rheumatoid Arthritis in the United Kingdom – A prospective observational study of the secondary care management of patients with early rheumatoid arthritis in the United Kingdom (ERAN). Primary aim: To establish a database of long-term clinical data in order to monitor management and outcomes of patients with early RA in the UK. It is envisaged that this resource will contribute to the development of good clinical practice/guidelines and clinical governance issues.Secondary aim: To facilitate the design and execution of nested studies by providing statistical information required for study design and permitting the identification of potential research subjects. The following main primary endpoints will be evaluated: Diagnosis of RADisease severityRA medication usage and reasons for change Prevalence of concurrent pathologyCo-morbidity & Mortality
